The HomeStretch
By Penelope Lombard
Get Comfortable. Get Active.
Growing up, Penelope studied dance focusing primarily on ballet. After earning her BA in Psychology from Occidental College, she studied with a Pilates teacher who trained Penelope to work with private clients. Soon, a local Chiropractor hired Penelope to assist in rehabbing his patients using Pilates. Her sessions were tailored to each client and incorporated stretch and various core strengthening exercises. Penelope learned to work carefully around weaknesses and injuries while improving flexibility, alignment and balance.
Soon, Penelope opened her own Pilates studio, PilateBody, on the westside of L.A. as well an in-home studio in the Valley, Not So Snotty Pilates. Then and now, her business specializes in tailoring workouts to clients' specific needs, whether it be dealing with injuries, general pain and tightness or other issues. Admittedly, "other issues" often includes helping people who are avoiding workouts and just need a push and a positive experience in their session.
Now, Penelope is seeing private clients in her own practice, The HomeStretch. All HomeStretch sessions are tailored to the individual and focus is on flexibility for comfort with core work for strength and balance.
